Who Are TOMORROW X TOGETHER?

TOMORROW X TOGETHER — known as TXT — debuted under BIGHIT MUSIC (a HYBE label) in March 2019. Comprised of five members — Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai — TXT entered the scene with an enormous amount of pressure as the first group from BTS's label. Rather than chasing BTS's footsteps, they carved their own distinct identity.

Their concept centers on youth, identity crisis, and the tension between growing up and holding onto innocence — themes that resonate deeply with their primarily Gen Z fanbase, known as MOA (Moments of Alwaysness).

The Lore: A Universe of Their Own

TXT operates within an intricate narrative universe called the Chaos Chapter (and later, the Dream Chapter and Name Chapter). Unlike many K-pop groups with loosely connected concepts, TXT's storyline is deliberately built across music videos, album notes, and short films. Key elements include:

  • A mysterious Blue Hour — a liminal space between childhood and adulthood.
  • Recurring symbols: butterflies, broken wings, mirrors, and a sinister figure known as "The Eternal Boy."
  • Music videos that often function as chapters in an ongoing story.

Fans who enjoy theorizing and decoding hidden meanings have found TXT's universe to be one of the most rewarding in K-pop.

Musical Evolution

From their debut, TXT has consistently pushed genre boundaries. Their sound is far harder and more rock-influenced than typical K-pop groups, incorporating:

  • Pop-punk and alternative rock influences, especially in the Chaos Chapter era.
  • Cinematic orchestral elements in ballads and album interludes.
  • Electronic and synth-heavy production in their more experimental tracks.
